Kimi to Boku 2 Ep. 11 (aka Cute, Cute, and More Cute)

Best volleyball game ever.

So, I still can't figure out if I've got a favorite character in this show because I love them all, but I think Chizuru is probably pretty close. His personality is just so refreshing. This is completely unrelated, why am I even saying this.

This episode is a more light-hearted one, with the school sports competitions.

We begin with the quintet (or whatever the heck you call a group of five friends) standing around and having juice, while Chizuru tries to throw his into the trash can with immense concentration and zero help from the others.

Encouraging, guys.

Anyway, he doesn't get a chance to try because Mary shows up out of nowhere carrying a bunch of things, since she's helping run all the sports stuff.

They have a brief conversation about what sports they'll be participating in.

When Shun is asked, he says they'll all be doing volleyball, though it doesn't really suit his looks. The others disagree. It's perfect for him.

And Mary is seeing some alternate reality Shun!

She then continues on her errand, leaving the others to wonder if she has any friends in her class, since they always see her alone.

Mary is helping out Yuuki's kouhai (whose name escapes me at the moment) in the meantime, and they just look completely adorable together, romantic or not.

Mary decides to decorate Shun's class' part of the bracket...

...which leaves the three boys (Yuuki, Shun, and Chizuru) a bit confused, but enthusiastic!

They end up playing against Kaname and Yuuta's team in the game. Chizuru suffers from lack of height, and Yuuki suffers from lack of motivation, and Shun is...Shun. He's actually not so bad.

They start doing better later, though, when Yuuta gets his brother all competitive and shows off his athletic skills...

...by using Chizuru as a launchpad.

Meanwhile, Mary and her new friend are having fun, talking about their crushes senpais.

They get a bit too excited about the volleyball game they both want to see, though, and nearly ruin the awards. Thankfully, some girls from their class come to the rescue and let them go watch.

They get there in time to cheer on their team, especially Shun, who's serving.

Look at the cute little blushes on their faces!

And then we get this utterly adorable little cheering/jumping scene!

These two are so cute as best friends. I could watch them jump up and down all day.

The end of this season is coming up too fast, and I really hope it continues for another. Either way, it's a great, heartwarming series that can make you cry or laugh depending on the episode. Watch it, love it, support it. I've yet to find another series that gives me the same calm, warm feelings this one does.
